Brunswick Juventus Juniors Mission Statement
The Zebras’ membership is drawn largely from the inner Melbourne suburbs of Melbourne. The players are local, predominately from Fitzroy, Northcote, Brunswick and Coburg. While we enjoy the club’s rich Italian heritage, our membership nowadays is also a reflection of Australian society, with players, coaches, club officials and supporters from extraordinarily diverse cultural backgrounds and every strata of society.
The club’s progressive approach of ensuring that everyone who joins the club is given the chance of playing, has obviously struck a chord with the broader community and the Brunswick Juventus Junior Football Club’s membership has grown from 380 registered players and 19 teams in 2005 season to over 500 players and 28 teams in 2018 including 180 children who participated in the under 8 year old Saturday Skills Program program. There are 7 female teams and they make up 25% of the players. We are intending to introduce two a new Mini Roo Under 10 team for girls in 2018 and aim to have 30% female players in 2019. We currently have three women’s teams. There is also a program targeted to refugee children and Iranian young adults assisting them to afford to play football.
Every player, regardless of their ability, is given an opportunity to realise their potential.
Brunswick Juventus J.F.C. is a community based, not-for-profit sporting club located in Melbourne’s inner suburbs that caters for players, members and coaches regardless of gender, background or ability. Our aim is to encourage and develop players so that they have opportunities to realise their full potential, enjoy the game, and learn how to contribute and become valuable team members.
